About Us
|
Who Are We? Having worked
in the voluntary sector for seven years, it seemed a natural progression
to form a partnership to offer our clients the benefits of our diverse
backgrounds and wide range of knowledge and experience. SCPP was founded
in 1998 in the belief that working together in a supportive environment
enables us to be stronger, more effective and more resourceful. This has
become the foundation of our work.

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, registered with the British Psychological Society. I also have a background in general and mental health nursing. I was a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing at South Bank University and a project manager working with a number of NHS Trusts and Health Authorities in South London before making the transition to working mainly as a Counselling Psychologist with organisations and individuals. I practised as a counsellor and co-ordinator at St Marylebone Healing & Counselling Centre, as counsellor, supervisor and trainer with Cruse Bereavement Care, as supervisor for Westminster Bereavement Service and have worked with parents and young children in a primary care setting. I have worked with individuals, couples and as a consultant to organisations and as a facilitator for a management consultancy. |

I am a registered BACP and UKRC ind. Counsellor. After training as a humanistic counsellor, I trained and practiced in psychotherapy at Spectrum, a humanistic and integrative therapy centre in North London. My work involves not only looking at how we perceive our difficult and painful circumstances but how we experience them somatically. I have a background in business and I am particularly interested in bringing counselling into the workplace. I have taken my work into both large and small organisations, in the voluntary and private sectors, working extensively with individuals and also with groups, families and couples. I have also been involved in the training and supervision of bereavement counsellors in a large voluntary organisation.
